Into the Mind’s Palace

Hosted and Curated by BamWyth and Chad Dauphiney

We forget how little we don’t remember. Everything about us is built on foundational memories that form our conscious and subconscious personalities. Even simple functions such as driving rely on this. This is to say that art does not exist without memory or experiences. Without it, there is no core to derive and prescribe meaning to anything. The title of this edition is derived from the invention of the first memory system by the Greek philosopher Simonides of Ceos, titled “The Method of Loci”. To experience lack is a form of memory in itself that adds to our emotional psyche. How would you represent yourself through art if you were to imagine a world inside your brain?
